A program of renovations spanning nine years for the Library, which includes:
- A Phase II infrastructure upgrade and rehabilitation of the fully operational main branch with special consideration given to the landmark interior and exterior.
- A fast-tracked renovation for the 121,000 SF Library in Lincoln Center which houses valuable music, video, and literature collections.
- A phased gut renovation to create the Rare Books Reading Room and a new Genealogy Room.
- A 5-floor renovation of the existing 12-story Crystal building.
- A full restoration and upgrading of the landmark status Trustees Room and the Bartos forum into public assembly spaces
- A project involving the replacement of broken bluestone pavers and granite curbs at the Central Research Branch.
- A full restoration of a nearly 100-year-old reading room to its original condition.
- An upgrade and implementation of a state-of-the-art system for seven library branches.
